Charlotte Murray BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP SRP

Hello, I’m Charlotte Murray. I’m a chartered and state registered physiotherapist and I own and run ‘Back to Fitness Physiotherapy’.

I have been a physio for 14 years now after qualifying from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2001. I started my career working in the NHS in Calderdale. During my time at Calderdale, I worked with Rugby Union teams at both National League and county level and also Wakefield Wildcats RLFC. In 2004 I left the NHS to pursue a career in private practice and to achieve my ambition to provide the residents of Calderdale with the physiotherapy service that they deserved.

In October 2005 I made the huge decision to go for my goal and set up my own private practice. My mission was to offer comprehensive physiotherapy assessments carried out by experienced clinicians in a friendly and efficient manner.

This is now my 10th year at ‘Back to Fitness Physiotherapy’. During this time, I have seen the clinic grow in both reputation and size and I am incredibly proud of the clinic and the excellent physiotherapists who work here.

I absolutely love what I do and I hope that my passion comes across. In recent years I have had to take a step back from the business as my first child, Archie, was born in 2013 and then in March 2015 my second little boy, Ernie, was born. As much as being a mum to a toddler and baby allow, I like to keep active - in fact you may have seen me walking my two Labradoodles, Alfie and Max. I also love to run and train in the gym as well as having fun in the swimming pool with my two boys.

Joe Washington PGDip, BSc (Hons) MCSP SRP

Hello my name is Joe and I have been working at Back to Fitness Physiotherapy since 2011.

I came into Physiotherapy via a rather unconventional route. I used to play professional football for Huddersfield Town until an unfortunate injury brought my career to a premature end. I then decided to do a Sports Therapy degree for which I was awarded a 1st class qualification. After this is completed a post graduate diploma in physiotherapy.

I am preparing for my wedding next year but in any spare time I have , I am a keen fell runner. I run with Calder Valley Fell Runners and I am really enjoying the challenge that this provides.

As a physiotherapist I always do the best I can for every single patient. My particular expertise is in rehabilitating patients back to full fitness with functional and sports specific exercise programmes.

My name is Jenny. I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2006 from Manchester Metropolitan university

I started my working career at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust, rotating across a number of different areas including medical/elderly, respiratory and community. I developed a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and in 2009 I specialised into this area and now work full time in outpatients as a senior physiotherapist.

I am qualified in acupuncture, and have undertaken a number of post-graduate courses to consolidate my manual skills and clinical knowledge.

On top of my job it the NHS, I worked for Siddal rugby league team for two years on a Saturday gaining experience in sports injuries and working within a team environment.

In my own time I like to go running and play netball however I have recently become a mum to Oliver and he takes up most of my spare time.

I have worked at Back to Fitness Physiotherapy since 2010 and really enjoy treating our patients and getting them pain free as soon as I can.
